Character Design

The first phase in finishing the animation was coming up with a new character design. Our director Jonathon Hyde decided that Miss Pomme (formerly Miss Apple) should have a body, resembling a human. Here is why:
1) Jonathon thought by doing so, it would give the character a personality instead of just a simple fruit with limbs.

2) Miss Pomme would look sexier that way!

This, however, gave several problems.
1) As deadline was drawing closer, it really was not a good idea re-designing characters. As the team and myself included, there were other assignments to be dealt with and 100% attention cannot be put into this animation hence we started pretty late on this animation work.

2) If Miss Pomme had a body, Mr. Apple would also need one otherwise it would be inconsistent.

Nevertheless, toiling for a few hours I managed to build new bodies for both Miss Pomme and Mr. Apple.

Here is Mr. Apple:

I tried giving him a more metrosexual look. Hey, all French people are stylish without even trying!

Now here is Ms. Pomme

Notice how now she has cleavage! Looking more like a woman now!

We decided that Mr. Banana would remain the same as he is. Dr. Cucumber also gets a re-vamp!

This was a difficult one to fit in with our already busy schedule. I had to design his back profile and also new eyes and outfit.

But here he is lecturing Mrs Pomme on her promiscuity! How dare she cheat on Mr. Apple!

I also did a quick parody on the famous internet meme 'Facepalm'.

Dr. Cucumber just got so fed up with Mrs Pomme not listening to his advice.
